125th Anniversary Celebration

Quasquicentennial Corner

What is a quasquicentennial you ask?
A quasquicentennial is a 125th anniversary and the library is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year!

We at the library are looking forward to bringing you a special year of fun, because the library is turning 125 years old in 2018! From special displays to parade floats to commemorative t-shirts, there will be plenty of fun to be had at the library this year. Did you know that the Oconomowoc Public Library is one of the oldest libraries in Wisconsin? We started as a private association in 1870, and became a public library in 1893.

The Oconomowoc Public Library has been transforming our community for 125 years! 2018 will be a year of celebration and pride as we reflect on how the library and community have transformed together.
