WHAT IS THE LIBRARY DOING TO HELP ME STAY SAFE?

The safety of our patrons and staff is our first priority.

Library Cleaning

The Library contracts with a company that cleans the Library each weeknight using products recommended by the CDC. In addition, when the building opens to the public, staff will take extra steps to clean high-touch surfaces often (doorknobs, computer mice, tabletops). Some equipment may be temporarily moved or removed to help keep the Library as safe and clean as possible.

Library Materials Quarantining and Cleaning

Upon return, every item is quarantined for 24 hours, as recommended by the CDC. Staff wipe all items possible with bleach solution before returning items to the shelf.

Staff and Patrons

Hand sanitizer is available to staff and patrons. We also encourage staff and patrons to wash their hands thoroughly and frequently. Staff and patrons will continue to follow social distancing guidelines.
