But wait…what is SmACK? SmACK stands for Smart, Awesome, Cool Kids at the Library! It’s an after-school meetup for active kids ages 8-11 who want to be involved at the Library and in their community. SmACK participants will meet once a month with Ms. Caitlin and teen mentors from the Library’s Teen Advisory Board. Meetups will include snacks, leadership and teamwork activities, thoughtful discussions, and brainstorming ideas for middle grade events at the Library. It’s a great volunteer-in-training program that will open doors for future leadership and volunteering opportunities for your middle grader.
